Hey all, I've got a really frustrating problem-
When I UVmap a mesh, the UV coordinates do not respond to movement. That is, if I have a checkerboard material on the mesh, when I move any UV's, nothing happens. The checkerboard won't move, or stretch or can be manipulated in any way. Hopefully this picture kind of illustrates the problem:

The texture doesn't move at all when I move the UV shell around. Nothing works! The only solution that has worked so far has been to copy the mesh, but now that won't work. I've done everything I can think of to make it work - unparented any groups, clean mesh, deleted history, restarted Maya, etc. I'm using Maya 2011.
Any help would be appreciated, and I will try my hardest to will delicious cookies in your direction in the future.
