havent posted in the longest time. current project is a little helmet. because i got tired of rigging and animating. so chose something static.
it is around 4k tris on the low poly. below is a mudbox sculpt.
the fingers at the top holds a big ruby or something.
everything is going splendidly except that mudbox seems to be not doing the AO correctly.
as you can see, all the extremities for some reason gets coloured black when it clearly shouldnt. on the right, you can see the cavities are not even being blacked out on the intersection between the main body of the helmet and the fingers.
if you got any idea why it might do this here, please lemme know.
