Yep, saw this yesterday alongside a Dev Commentary, it's pretty bad ass looking, I mean plummeting an entire Asteroid on your enemies isn't something most games allow.
kinda makes me wonder what is happening to gas powered games right now...
Yeah it is kind of odd that they bill this game as the spiritual successor to Total Annihilation when Supreme Commander certainly felt like it was that already.
GPG seems pretty focused on Age of Empires Online right now... as far as I can tell.
Looks super fun, though, is this just a concept video... or are we looking at the actual game
I am guessing it is a set piece concept video they put together within their engine, what they're doing with Monday Night Combat looks very similar engine-wise.
I hope this doesn't come out while I'm in crunch somewhere, because whatever I'm working on WILL slip...
Since a big chunk of their studio appears to have lineage back through Supreme Commander, and this is clearly a continuation in spirit of that AND Total Annihilation... I wonder if their studio name came from the old UberHack mod for TA?
i want this game so bad, really feels like it is actually innovate in the rts genre a bit.
also cool stuff with the orbits, you could do stuff like build a moon base covered in long range weapons while it is orbiting around your natural base, than wait for it to orbit to the other side of the planet etc.
yeah I am following this pretty closely and it looks like the 1.5 goal will be reached today.
The trend seems to show that it is very likely that it will hit 1.8 by the end and they have not even relieved the final stretch goal which is supposed to blow away the other stuff.
I bet it feels good to be working on something that has such a large amount of support from the community. I mean 30,000+ people backing this has to be a nice amount for an indie game.
I wonder what kind of sales there will be after it releases.

I hope the art style stays. I love the blocky look. Plus that could really benefit a small team.
Backed, awesome thanks for the heads up, they are already past their mark.

I loved TA still play it
yeah my eyes bleed when trying to concentrate on modern RTS this seamed really nice...
Agree on the art style too. Big reason why i backed it. So clean.

Considering these well talked about wonderful indie titles even reach half a million copies sold it will probably sell even more, torchlight-style.
Planetary annihilation has everything right going for it, and it fills a void that has been empty for quite some time!
