Looking for Advice for Masters Year - Modelling for mobile

Hey everyone =]

I was just wondering if anyone had any further ideas, or resources even, presentation notes, tutorials, influencial and professional game artists etc that are aimed at 3D mobile game art, hard surface modelling, or optimisation in general

i wont bore you with the notes ive collected already on optimisation for mobile devices, needless to say my final masters thesis will benefit from a wide array of research and reference material, so if you know anything on the subject please share your knowledge to a fellow enthusiast :)

Im developing Mobile games in unity, so ive looked at optimisation of both scripts and art assets, as my Masters course is in 3D Games Modelling. My main struggle at the moment is picking a question that sums up my aims, whilst being aimed at a problem that needs overcoming.

Obviously optimisation methods are well known and founded, texture atlases, modular workflows in general, reduce, reuse, recycle etc etc

But I was hoping there was more, something grittier that im missing that will really give me something to bite my teeth into researching and developing a solution to???

or should i just stick to what im currently doing and show my understanding of optimised 3d content development for mobile platforms? Im just worrying that my thesis question...which would be about mobile optimisation, isnt really a question, because its allready been answered via the methods we have today??

Hope you can help / share some advice everyone!

Thanks!

(p.s my main aims for my portfolio at the end of this year are to focus everything back from the variety that my University taught me over the past 3 years, down to environment modelling and hard surface modelling, if you want to know more about me, my names is Renn Farnell, and i have a show reel of my favourite university work below, and a link to my recent mobile environment practice here: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=100917&highlight=sci+fi+tram+station)
