hey all, I am looking for a modeling tool that can run on a really simple machine. I don't need a full feature set, I'm just wanting something that'll get a model started when I'm away from my desktop and can't run 3ds Max. know of anything that could suit my needs?

or try gmax - it's really old but the basics such as poly modeling, UVs, etc. are there and you can keep the basic "max" workflow.
or try Silo. Not sure if they still develop it.
Blender may work too though.
1ghz, 256 megs ram and a GeForce 4 on a stripped down windows 7.

Thanks all!
The best modeller I've used.
It kind of picked up where Silo left off. It's probably one of the nicest modelling apps I've used (for simple stuff) and once you get your head around the Streamline Engine you'll be flying in no time.
