Hey guys, I started to make model for game(based on Blaisoid's concept, this is what I do have so far, but I changed few things in some parts so it looks more realistic (like grip) and I used my imagination in some parts. Any critics are welcome!
wow, this is definitely one of the most impressive attempts at turning my concepts into 3D
James might be right about that piece but i think it looks fine as it is.
I guess barrel size is problematic.
one of my common concept mistakes is that i usually make barrel radius way too big, making it look like body would have to be super thick in order to have it inside.
edit: oh, now i see what guys above talked about. yeah, it's supposed to be wider than the piece under it. the part below goes under it, on your version it bevels there.
Blaze - thanks man, I am honoured ^^ , and yeah I agree with everyone and I will make it wider tomorrow...also u are true, that barrel looks same size as gun but it comes out much bigger in real model, firstly I wanted to make it smaller but it looked just not right, so I decided to make it same size as in concept..also there were few problems with sizes and proportions but I think I corrected it so now its moreless ok.
Thing which irritates me at most now is pinching on that yellow part which is at top of all yellow parts but idk how I will model it , so its correct
New progress, lowpoly + bakes are done , I am not happy with bakes coz they got lots of small errors coz blender bakes terrible maps, but doesnt matter, I will leave it as it is, and now just textures
gun has around 1500tris

I interpreted the concept a little differently though; the curved piece over the top in the top right, I think it's meant to be a bit wider. (shadows)
