im trying to recreate the matrix air displacement effect that the bullets have when they are seen in slow motion

i might render it on a transparent layer and try to blend it or use it to distort the background a bit more subtle
i just lowered the IOR a but more to make it seem more like air
i just added some objects for the stream to displace ans be more noticeable

i think that its due to that the VFX department thought that the bullet is soooo fast that it being viewed a speed slow enough so actually see the bullets moving, that the air displacment would be uniform because of how fast the bullet is moving, i believe you would see the same effect in high magnification scopes when shooting a high powered rifle.

i had to up the bounces because i get some blackness from refractions within refractions
