I feel like the odd one out here. Everyone produces such amazing work. Seriously, I have not once stumbled upon a thread here where I thought to myself, gee that guy needs to work on his X'.
Well, actually, there was a couple of threads like that in the WIP section, but then i'd flick 20 pages forward in the thread and suddenly the original posters work has become spectacular - you guys give some amazing feedback that really help home in the skills of those artists.
Its so intimidating but exciting at the same time. I am just glad to have found a community full of artists who take so much care in their work.
I am a games programmer (Almost finished my course @ Qantm College), but I've got a passion for map making. I am no game designer, and my experiance in designing maps with good level flow etc is lacking, but i've been modelling on and off for years (enough to be fermiliar with all the concepts, not enough to be able to produce great work (yet
)), I am planning on recreating some concept artwork of a scenary to fermiliarize myself with the tools, and am looking forward to hearing your feedback. I've got lots of questions, and you have all made me very excited

Hey, which Qantm are you at?
Start a thread in P&P and start posting work on that environment!
I have just entered my holiday. I get a 3 week break. Plan on working on something personal in UDK - doing games development for homework saps the joy out of it. I'll open up a thread once I do. I played around a little earlier with UDK. I hated it when I first came in contact with it a couple of years back. It was amazingly buggy, and I found it hard to believe that it was being used in the industry. They have improved so much now, and I find it so smooth to work with!
@Kurt, I go to the institute in Melbourne, Australia!
You should totally say hi to the programming lecturer for me, we're good friends :poly142:
