I take it your rocking a dedicated server then? I've been toying with the setup on my PC. I just caved and used the session server to save on Download's. Really wanted to play haha.
Question though, how are you kicking/preventing spectators? I had 7 spectators at the end of the night. (The each spectator = 1 less bot in action) Game got stupidly easy so i reset it and manually kicked spectators though the dev console as they popped up. It was a pain in the arse tbh ;')
Would be nice if mvm supported more than 6 players, every time I've checked out the server it's been full. That aside, thanks for setting this up, r13!
Played a for a bit on the server. Saw a few familiar names and the team worked well. Just defeated 8 waves with me as engi and 4 heavies. So not a full team but still victorious!
Anyone else getting a bug with the final credit rating screen not closing and it stays up when the new map loads. So I have to disconnect to get rid of it. The Done button isn't clickable but another done button appears top left screen which is clickable but it does nothing.

yup. I got this though with the victory splash all over my screen haha
So far I haven't been able to even try MvM. The queue for the regular games is over 15mins long, so that's out of the question. The PC server has always been full.
The thing I don't get though is how is the queue so long if you have to many people trying to play? Does it not just start new games?
Yeah I've played on some random servers without passwords. It was fun, but would be more fun with PC'ers! I tried joining the PC server yesterday, but could only spectate since it was full. Later that evening it said it could only be accessed through matchmaking.
@Bigjohn
Yeah, just go to the server lists, I noticed today that there is a LOT of empty servers available, which wasn't there before, so it seem servers are being created.
This is why I love the server browser, at least you get control, and not have to relie on something so flawed as the matchmaker, really dont like it.
@Stinger
The problem is that for each spectator that joins, is one bot less attacking, which will affect gameplay. Until Valve fix something so bots doesn't use the normal max player amount, I think its best to block spectators.

Ahh, I see. I can't say I've notice much difference when there are spectators though. Maybe the server could have a limit of 2 spectators?
Rather than passwording could the server kick non-registered/whitelisted players in favour of us registered polycounters?
tbh. I've noticed the server is pretty empty now when I play (6pm-9pm GMT) so I have no trouble gettin on it. Problem is getting others to team up with.
I've been starting to get into the pay versions of the MvM. I'm actually having a lot of fun with it as it is legitimately harder. I've been usually just running with pubs.
which, as a sidenote, is very very much like it was runnijng pug groups thru heroics in WoW. Sometimes it works out well... great in fact and... sometimes it falls apart in the first 5 mins.
But back to the point, I'd love to have a group of guys to play with on a more regular basis. I've played some with Xeno... if others are interested speak up or contact me

i set it up so that it's available to join adhoc and its available for the matchmaking service.
i shut off spectators, but i can allow them again if its desired.
its been pretty solid so far the times i've played there last night.
anyone want to cobble together a splash page image for the server?

I'd like to have spectator mode back please. I don't mind watching till a space becomes available.

I'm thinking thats a lil unweidy to do at the moment... minecraft is one thing... tf2 is another
Does the server get busy at peak U.S. times?
