i have decided to create the ultimate environment. i have already gathered over 161 reference images. I will create this environment using 3ds max zbrush and final post processing in cryengine. I have never used cryengine this will force me to learn it. I am contemplating on buying ndo for brick work that needs to be done or use zbrush alphas and make normal maps with xnormal. I cant make it brick by brick it would take years to complete. I want to push cryengine and myself to its limit. I need a dev goal to set. I wanted to follow some sort of specs maybe pc specs. I will say that this project is a huge castle mountains road and trees. What should I set for my polycount and texture map I wanna put as much detail as i can. Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated.

I'd say consider something smaller just now. Props, or an interior, or something. But that's just me.
Holy ducksauce the pic of the worker just standing on that i-beam gave me vertigo. I was terrified for his photographic self.
Trust me, I don't think you really want the frustration, at least not yet.
Stop talkin' start doin'.
*(Also start using capitals and punctuating. Even if you're a really good artist; a recruiter, and most other people, will find your typing style pretty off-putting)*

Well, that's a bit of a 'how long is a piece of string' question. You'll have to feel it out for yourself. Use what you need to do it justice.
I don't want to discourage you but it would be much better if you modelled and textured just one asset to bring into Cryengine and view (something really simple, e.g. trash can, other prop) )since you will have the experience of importing a finished asset, something to show and less time consuming than taking on an epic project like what you mentioned. Just my 2 pennies
EDIT: Good luck. Looking forward to view your ultimate thread containing pics of the ultimate environment that has ultimate props made by an ultimate man.
