ungrouping in max from z brush.

Ive merged all my subtools in zbrush and exported them to 3ds max. But I cant seem to find a way to ungroup them. Any help would be appreciated!

You mean they are part of the same mesh ?

not necessarily, they arent welded or anything.

Im currently doing an exploded RTT bake. to try and save myself from exporting every subtool, I merged all the subtools in zbrush thinking I could ungroup them in max. I cant, so I was wonmdering if there was any way too...

Oh yeah you need a script to separate the elements of the mesh, your subtools i guess.There is one in turbotools script called element to object.After that snap em to the exploded mesh ? Maybe you can use align to quick place em dunno.

If it's obj you should have the option to "import as single mesh" or something similar...just uncheck that.
