Hey Guys!
This is my first post here as well as my first self made model, although I have been lurking around this forum for quite a while (The work here is AMAZING). I have used blender before, but all my previous work has been just following tutorials and making and making simple things with cubes and spheres.
Anyway, here is the model and any help improving it or advice would be greatly appreciated! (I plan on making a low poly model and using in the Unity game engine, so i hopefully will be baking maps, texturing it and animating it soon!
and here was the reference i used
I also had a hard time finding good references for the front and back of the gun, so i no idea what it looked like or how wide it was supposed to be

Not bad, but many parts just don´t fit. You should really get some more ref [buy the gun ; ) ]
Did the perspective image get stretched or did you model it that flat? The main barrel is a cylinder indeed.
The beretta is just a nice object to model. I made one myself as a very first hard surface lowpoly model and i learned so much from it.
Finish it and have fun!
Are you planning to bake this?
And Tim270, yes i plan on making a low poly model and backing out some normal maps, it would be cool to get it into a game engine
and here are the wires. (not sure how the do this in Blender, just took a shreenshot in edit mode)
It has 1722 polys, not sure how much if converted to triangles
Ill try to get some more pictures up soon, and hopefully start texturing!
Thanks! i mostly just did tutorials from www.cgcookie.com and www.blenderguru.com. I also did that Shotgun tutorial that was posted on here not too long ago, and that was awesome!
