Anyone ever heard of these guys? They sell PC software (Autodesk, Adobe, Microsoft, etc) at extremely discounted prices. They claim to be an OEM software company, and once you pay they'll email you a link with download instructions. They claim that as an OEM retailer, you don't register your software with the manufacturer, because they have already done this as part of their OEM status.
Adobe CS6 Master Edition - Retails for $2599, Download Price 149.95
At those prices, something doesn't sound right. Has anyone dealt with this company before?

Website is hosted somewhere in the czech republic.
Typical testimonial page with some slightly weird english.
No contact data to be found anywhere.
And at the same time, no google results leading to an actual forum discussion somewhere about the site.
I kinda have a feeling that when your selling 3dsmax for 150dollars, the adobe master collection for 150 (wich is like less then what we pay for a student version) there might be some talk about it.
(choose a random trustworthy webshop, and most of the time you can find a lot of links discussing it, not in this case)
and yeah don't do it. No reason to give scams any money.
Burned disc.
Fuck.
Depending on what your dad needs Photoshop for and what his budget is there are alternatives.
GIMP
Sumo Paint
Pixlr
Corel Painter - Which has a new Photoshop-like UI mode now.
Corel PaintShop Pro
Windows Only:
Paint.net
Mac Only
Pixelmator
The way how they do it, is they provide a software download link and no support. The serial does not work, and you lose your money.
Also, their site is NOT secure, so you may be a victim of phishing (e.g., use your CC card for purchases in Nigeria).
can people who arent in education but dont want to do any commercial work ever buy educational software? I always assumed they expect education requirements to be fullfilled. Really really frustrating
