I created this piece for a university assignment, creating a toy concept real or conceptual. This toy was created in Autodesk Maya, sculpted in Autodesk Mudbox then rendered in Marmoset Toolbag. I used no orthographic view reference but relied on hand and eye coordination to follow angles.
Sidetracked and copied the eye only. Then I thought about challenging myself to complete the nose on both sides. I will practice copying the hair later when I past the beginning stage of copying master studies.

Second pass of the character.

Copied this painting as a study. Tried different ways in describing form and shadow.
Phase 02 of the process. Shadowed the scarf and polished the fur on the coat.
3 - Polished the coat, more defined the fur, and define the lip to make it more pronounced.

Learned a better way of gesture sketching, so I am applying it. Drawn traditionally in pencil then outlined in pen.
Sketched this to practice, narrative work. Got the idea from an old, Illustration Friday theme.
New comic called "Interplasma Universe". Shown here are thumbnails. Above is the title screen.
