Looks rigid/stiff in quite a few parts, tip of the tail seems completely static and the antennae things look like they're controlled through IK rather than the fluidity of doing them through FK

Yes, you right. But antenna have only 1 joint inside. Its model for game. And i use joint limit on tail)))
Wonderful animation! My only critique is the death animation is a little bland. I've killed snakes before, and they twist and curl like crazy when they die, even with no head.

I never kill snake))) And time limit for animation - 4 sec max.
