Hey guys. Just started working on a new prop for my Portfolio.
Thought I'd post to get some feedback. It ain't much to look at yet, but it's never too early to get some critique.
So, about the model in particular. It isn't based off of a specific telephone model, but instead is a sort of amalgamation of all my references (about 40 pictures). I couldn't find one
really good picture of any particular type, so I thought this would be a decidedly better way to go.
Yes, so, any critique, as I said, is really appreciated. I'll be updating this pretty often. I'd like to get it done not too long from now. Need some stuff in that 'folio o' mine.

Boop.
And the earpiece.
And, thanks, Anthy!
P.S. Here is one of my refs, showing the insides:
... Should be fun to figure some of that nonsense out!
Only a few more things to do for the High-poly. Admittedly, most are things I've been putting off, because I'm afraid it'll be difficult, haha. Gotta do it eventually, though!
I'm actually really happy with how much I've improved just by really sitting down and doing the High-poly. I understand how to build stuff much more efficiently now, and learned how to use some tools more wholly in Maya.
Again, comments are greatly appreciated.
Other than that, cool stuff
Which sucks, because it's hard to soften edges after the fact... But I did the ones I could.
Anyway, I was going to give up on this. I thought "Oh, the edges are too sharp. It's ruined."
But, who knows? Could still turn out cool, so I'll keep on chugging.
Got more done today than in a while. Only some wiring to do on the inside, then it'll be onto the low. FINALLY.
I am looking this kind of effort for old phone first time.
Good Job..
