the eyes are off dude, very freaky. position within the skull, lidshape, size and shading of the iris, you name it. a sadistic part of me thinks you should have kept certain eye-approval sheets from a particular former workplace.
nice skintones and -definition however! ears appear a bit too soft in comparison to the face.
the xoliul shader is indeed good for skin effects but i would advise switching to something with a better alpha display for hair.
WAAAAAARG, ahahahahah good one Thomas!!! The fact is, I used the wrong file for the screenshot, re-uploading the version with the tweaked eyes (I still have nightmares about big dady V!!!)
Edit : fixed, thanks dude !
I wanted to do the grabs in marmoset, much better for the hair, but I didn't really had the time to check my skin in there. Will probably do the final pictures in there or in UDK
Hey this is looking pretty cool so far, the waist coat and boots are reading a bit too dark atm. I saw someone else having a problem with this before, and someone posted this link, which might give you ideas on how to fix it. I think it basically needs some lighter colour variations on top of it to bring it out of the dark. Also some colour variation and ware on the jeans would really help.
I think the face still has some issues concerning the sculpt, could you post some close ups so I can get a better look?
Cool 63'd Han Solo . Only thing I'd say is that it's a pretty 'safe' character. There aren't a lot of details, and nothing really stands out THAT much. I think the best part of it is the face, honestly. It has a lot of character. The part that looks like it could have the most improvement is the hair. Granted, I'm not that good at hair either, but you could be doing a lot more with material definition, hair strands, and especially the area on the back of the neck - which would normally have lots of stray hairs coming off, even when pulled into a bun.
Overall I think it's a really solid character. There's just not very much that catches the eye about it... for me, at least.
Looking good. Very clean. The details on the vest are hard to pick out, maybe some lighter color stitching? Also the color palette is a bit boring. Maybe you could keep the base colors but try to throw in some variations on those to break up the solid masses.
The front view of the face kinda looks like a man.
The size of her head right now feels a tad too big. It seems very natural, but tends to make your character a tad dumpy looking. Here is a quick rescale next to your original:
Excellent model:) Very Han Solo like
Heheh..."very Han Solo-like" I think was a polite understatement. This is an example of "rule 68".
She *IS* Solo except that she's a younger female Solo.
Is it too late to get rid of the high-heels? No self-respecting space pirate girl//smuggler would run around in boots like those mincing like some friggin' Disney Princes....
...no, wait...uhhh...maybe, uhh, well shit...maybe they WOULD nowadays.
My objection to the heals was more me taking an opportunity to joking ref the recent acquisition of Lucasfilm by Disney and not meant as a serious crit...
Yeah, I'll admit that if I were the AD, I'd have the heels reduced in height to a "working"/work-boot level rather than a fashionable level but I'm not the Art Director and it's not my character and it's trifling thing.
i love her face now man, really soft and feminine. but please try rotating the eyes outward a little, she's got a brutal cross-eye going on at the moment...
Really diggin this model, I agree about the pants a little flare above the boots will really help out with the silhouette. I love the skin material too, very natural looking.:)

Also I disagree with shoes critique, those are not some overkill heels, look rather proper.

So yup, the head is smaller (it was accurate according to the references tough... perception I guess(and I agree
I have been considering for a while flatter shoes but I'm afraid she will have to keep her heels. might give her some Mickey ears though
EDIT : Yes, my female version of Han solo
my only crit is her hair looks like a big solid block, it doesn't have much volume or silhouette variation, feels like it needs more hair planes
Even if those are skinny jeans they will have a little flare right above the boot.
make her smile kthnx
Very nice work! Also agree with the folds above the boot
