Hello Everyone,
I am new to polycount and This is my very first post over here. I am looking for
refrence material for 3D modeling Mostly Hard Surface stuff vechiles/props/environments etc as I find it hard to search for appropriate refernces for modeling along with concepts for sculting in Z Brush i.e. environments/weapons etc . So I was hoping that the members aka Artists
of this forum would help me in my endeavour to make a good collection of refernces, links, blogs etc for me and everyone out there who are also facing a hard time in finding and thn choosing good refernces form the Web.
Requesting polycount members to help me in this as I have high hopes from them on seeing how great this website for helping Game Artists out there.
*Note: Looking for clean good concept refrences which from games like e.g the gears of war series, the uncharted series,God of war series, killzone etc . Just an example of what I have in mind as a benchmark of the sort of refrences I am looking for , they definately could be not at all of any games, could be concept sheet for movie environments, real, artistic,Industrial designs etc idk, but clean and readable in form, depth etc for modeling .
Looking forward to seeing great refrences and links to websites featuring concept art for 3D modeling and all.
To start of
http://conceptships.blogspot.com/ a great place to find concept art work but always in doubts whether I could model em or not due to lack of detail, not enough views or sometime just too Complicated.
Thank you all and I do apologize for any mistakes if any in my post.

(Its not trolling if its true!)
I normally use http://www.conceptroot.com/ult/ , you can find some really good images here, there are loads from current gen games so I'm not sure if you can model them but surely use for inspiration/reference.
In other news, google is your friend . As for finding concepts for uncharted etc you can get a whole book about uncharted 2 and god of war 3. Same for mass effect
http://thetrashcaretaker.deviantart.com/gallery/?offset=0 - great environment concepts.
http://www.creativeuncut.com/ video game art and design
http://conceptartworld.com/ similar to concept root but has a few different artists on there, that aren't to do with big name video games.
It's rare to find side and front views for concepts though, as the studios normally keep that kind of stuff for themselves.
A good idea is to find studios that require you do an art test for jobs, and then use the images they give you there as they normally give a piece of concept that is ready to be imported into the 3D package.

to be fair thats more help than I got from the teachers at my university... oh wait, not aloud to call them teachers as they never took the test to be one... instead I went home and googled everything I have learned up to this point, I am so glad I gave them my money for that lesson in life lol. (and this is from the same tutors that refused to teach normal mapping because they believe that its overly complicated and instead taught the class bump mapping instead...)
in all seriousness, if you want concept art along the lines of a certain game, google concept art and the name of said game, something will come up.
as for finding art... ... you yourself are an artist, surly you look at other peoples art and are into the art form, there for you follow other artists?
you want to find concept art? www.conceptart.org you have EVERYTHING on there, from peoples sketchbooks to final pieces, from industry pros to people trying to break in (they are the 2d version of polycount really) you have deviant art too...
if you live and breath this stuff it shouldn't be difficult to find anything along the same lines and as time goes on your collection grows larger...
looking at other peoples models and art, there is usually a link to a concept piece, so from there you can check out the artist.
