if I have to give some feedback I would say, looking at the ref, the wood needs a little more contrast so the lines pop out more, that's it!
what would really be awesome for your portfolio would be if you stick it into UDK (or CryEngine or whatever), put it and some terrain and let some smoke particles come out of the chimney, that would finish off your presentation!

I do love that game it's awesome seeing everything everyone has made for it so far I really wanna get it In cry but I have no internet access on my personal machine .so it's probably a no go. will have to settle for udk for now. but I'm definitely gonna stick it in and get a scene going for it. but here's my update for tonight. just been sorting out gloss maps and mat definition
Right then, got the whole scene into the UDK because i have no constant internet connection for cry-engine.
here are some heavily WIP shots of the scene. At the moment most of the texturing is basic, ive mainly just been getting everything in place and to scale, the door is still to big and i shall be fixing that today.
