Hello Polycounters! Just about to finish up my year here at Vancouver Film School and thought I'd post my "almost" finished reel and works. Any critiques are greatly appreciated since I have about 15 days to change something.
I'm re-rendering my alley scene right now so only the first person is shown. Found it to distracting having all the people walking. Also, I took the blue tint off the orange scene too. Have to fix some text issues as you'll probably see.
Just wanted to give a quick thanks to the community, I know I didn't post that much but I lurked a ton in the wiki and forums throughout the years which I've gathered a great wealth of information from all of you! I hope to start doing some game resolution models right after school, while expanding my efforts in lighting and shading. Want to get my hands dirty in CE3 or Unreal, need a break from good'ol Mental Ray.
Would like to thank everyone on the CrunchCast for keeping me entertained and going throughout the year too!

Now I'm fixing up some of that stuff on the website and working on a new prop inspired by Killzone 3 concept art. Putting my own spin on some things like an old 50 caliber machine gun, hope I will have this wrapped up in a week or two.
Here's the concept art:

Did you take inspiration from Mikael Nellfors' "Path to Nowhere" (http://www.mikaelnellfors.com/portfolio/3d_orient.jpg)? If you did, I really like your take on the scene. The angling of the camera and the use of drapery really helps add a sense of movement to an otherwise static shot.
