Hey there.
So I'm running into an issue where I'm attempting to ready a mesh made with Maya 2013 and ZBrush 4R3 with simple animation for an OpenGL iPad app.
The programmer who is helping with the project uses
PVRGeoPOD (
http://www.imgtec.com/powervr/insider/powervr-pvrgeopod.asp )
for exporting our mesh into .POD format and then uses:
PVRShaman (
http://www.imgtec.com/powervr/insider/powervr-pvrshaman.asp )
to simulate how the mesh will be implemented in the app. Now my only issue is that I'm working in Maya 2013 and the update for PVRGeoPOD for 2013 isn't until late August.
So my question is does anyone know of another solution to simulate my mesh in an OpenGL environment? I'm kind of new to this so if anyone has any other recommendations to increase my knowledge base that would also be appreciated.
The whole reason that I'm attempting to delve into the programming aspect of all of this is because I can't seem to properly export my mesh from Maya 2013 in a way that he can open it in Maya 2011 without missing texture. I attempted exporting my mesh as both .obj and .fbx to no avail. So if there is a known solution to exporting my mesh, that could also solve my problem.
Otherwise I'm just going to have to find a way to get 2012.. which doesn't seem to be easy. I still have my student version on my personal laptop but I can't seem to find a way to download 2012 anymore.
Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.:poly122:
