This is my final project from school and wanted to get some feed back from you guys on the over all look of it before i start putting my portfilo together. Thanks!
Well I can already tell youve put a lot of thought into the texturing, it really shows. However, things are kind of blending together. I think this could do with some light atmospheric fog. I'd also boost your spec and normal maps because they really arent coming through
It looks a bit too dark to me. I know lighting these sorts of interior scenes can be challenging but you may need to exaggerate things, like maybe the the light from the monitors to add to the atmosphere.
Ok thanks, I will change the light color so it looks brighter. This environment does have lots of lights but i have them down low and with a shade of red on it, I was trying to give an spooky kind of feel. And I'll mess with the materials to bring out the normal maps a little more and change the spec maps back to normal because they all have a slight red to them as well. I have yellow lights spinning in this scene that help the over all effect but they don't show on a still shot along with the strips of red on that you see on the side which helps brighten it up a lot in side the game. i will also change the texture of the railings on the sides to help break it up a little. Thanks all for the comments.
ok made it brighter and tryed to bring out my normal maps a bit more but didn't seem to really affect any thing and added a little bit of atmospheric fog as well.
Really need to work on that lighting. Look up reference for the type of lighting you want to achieve and think about the light sources you have to work with.
I found this picture with a quick google search.
I think something like this would work well for your scene.
