My first post in over a year!
A few months back I shipped Prototype2, so I've had some time to do some personal work lately! Also, this is my first vehicle ever. I'm generally an environments guy, so this was a bit of a new challenge for me.
A lot of us probably had one of these as a kid. Its the Cobra HISS tank from Gi Joe. It uses
1 2048x2048 for the bulk of it
1 tiling 256x256 for the Treads
1 256x256 for the window
1 64x64 with alpha cuttout for the spike on the inside of in the treads.
It sits at around
13400 Tris
Built using Maya for main build, zBrush for damaging and some poly paint, Mudbox for some additional texturing and photoshop of course.
The render is from Maya viewport 2.0. I might put it into UDK eventually.
Its open for crits. I probably wont spend a lot more time on it, but it could do with some more polish time I think.
