UDK Shadow Problem

Hey everyone, I've just been going through the foliage tutorial on 3D Motive, and I'm doing fine with it, but I'm having some issues with my foliage not casting any shadows when the light has been built.

As you can see, in the viewport the lighting is fine, and all the shadows are cast, but as soon as I build the lighting it just seems to completely wipe out all shadows.

I'm not sure where the problem lies as the material is set to BLEND_Masked, and is set to two sided. The directional light is set to cast dynamic shadows, and the static mesh properties are also set to cast shadows. Any help would be massively appreciated as lighting issues seem to constantly crop up for me in UDK!
