Hey guys, I'm relatively new to the whole 3d art scene, been doing little stuff on and off for about 3 months now. I've been lurking this site for a while now and decided to attempt a simple low poly object that would test my skill. This is the reference I'm going to be using.
I'll be using Blender for the model work and most likely Gimp for the textures. Sorry about the bad composition.
So I completed the high poly version suggestions are welcome.

As far as your work goes, proportions look good. Proportions are all we can really critique on a high poly model because in this industry it's the low poly and textures that make it into a final product.
