The fact that the Leap can see almost any combination of objects - a pen, your fingers, all 10 fingers at once, should make every interface designer on the planet giddy with anticipation. If you thought that the touchscreen interface on the iPhone and subsequent tablets opened up a whole new way to interact with your device, imagine something that combines the intuitiveness of that experience with the possibility of such fine-grained control that you could do away with the trackpad or mouse entirely.

Hard to imagine that 3d drawing will be useful for us but imagine 3D sculpting with your hands!

It is an impressive display of technology. I think the problem with these kinds of human interfaces, though, is the amount of physical effort required to achieve what could be done with much smaller movements on say a mouse and keyboard set up. What I would like to see is a demonstration of something practical which is more optimal for this kind technology.

My wacom is reaching the end of it's life it's not reading pressure sensitivity as much as I would like and at 70$ this would be cheaper than the wacom I want. I just wonder how fast we will see other companies making plug in's, or integrating this technology. I would love to sculpt in z bush with this.
