For the Cambodia scene, I would add just a little more specular and normal map, because the texture looks flat. And for the train, I would add more sand dirt on the wagon, because it got stock there for a while, it should be dirty. Same thing for the wood on the rail, desaturate it a little (it's a desert so everything is dry).
Looking good though for the jungle the lighting is fairly harsh.
You can see how the lighting goes from quite bright to almost absolutely black on the grassy area in the middle.
I like the ideas in the desert. The bright train cars really stand out from the sand.
As for the cambodia scene: I'd also say it looks very flat at the moment. No real depth. The lighting, shaders and textures need more work.
As for the train scene: while the locomotive fits into the desert quite perfectly imo, the wagons are overly saturated, too strong in color contrast and too clean. I really like the sand shader, though. Did you create the texture yourself?
I think the train scene is unique and and pretty sick all at the same time. Great work so far. I still think you need to push the dirt and sand on the cars behind the bright green/red one. They still seem to "clean". As well with the coal car. I know these are still WIP textures, just trying to give some outside perspective on it. I REALLY like this scene though. As a portfolio piece, its definitely a piece I would see and remember. "Oh I really liked this train scene this dude made, let me go find it really quick" Awesome work so far man! The train scene has a bunch of potential!
