hi guys
its a courier project for Dota 2, i call it Silly Dragon. im trying to direct the animations to a more crazy movements, like its a little fool.
the idea was to make a cartoony dragon with chicken legs to make reference to the original chicken.
these are the fist model with some pattern tests
the i started rigging, did some pose and silhouette study.
the colors are just there as placeholders, i didnt decided it yet
this is the first animation, the run cycle
im still not happy with that and i will change couple things.

- run
- idle
- spawn
- death
- wings_run
- wings_idle
- wings_death
and i can have
- idle_alternative
- wings_idle_alternative
- a rare version of some animations (not sure witch one)
any suggestion/critiques will be a lot appreciated
i was not feeling confortable posting a wip project on the dota 2 workshop thread with a lot of finalized works, i dont feel that there is the place to post wips
here people can help me out with more details

and i was with the art of how to train your dragon book open at my side when i was working at zbrush, i got a lot inspired by it
i didnt get what you said with touch down, but according to valves doc, it will be flying at a distance far from the ground, if you meant touching the ground that will be not possible for all the flying one tagged with "wings"
im using the split complementary style with green as a base color
the backpack and the eyes are not following this, hope that is not a problem
im not liking the spikes on the head and tail, im planning on change that like the one at the side of the head
im using difuse, normal and specular maps
i dont know why but maya is smoothing the mesh during the render, so de basemesh dont match exactly on the sillhouette
