Hey guys, thanks for the great feedback. All noted.
GED - the reflection on the ceiling is comming from the IBR, I would have to decrease the amount of specular on that material or simply turn that off as it's getting it from the windows.
gochillis - great idea about the variation, will do.
walksonsky - perhaps I should just get a better and nicer dragon with more define lines and take that outline off.
mazz423 - I believe that it could help, will revisit.
StormHertz - yeah, I really have no intention on copying Oxford's flag (very ugly flag, lol), even the first post I commented that i'm not willing to copy it exactly, but I agree the flag is too simple, I will revisit.
Again, thanks all for the great feedback. Soon will be posting more.
Really quick changes on lighting, friend of mine at work gave me a hint and i tried, and I think it works great, I took some of the dragons off and made some of the lights lower size, glow on the candles and windows to contrast more on the scene, leaving a very cozy lighting inside. I might have to tweak a bit more, also on the post processing side, but now it's time to have some time off!
hey man, this is looking great so far. Just wondering though, are you planning on adding all kinds of food/dishes and other types of table clutter to your scene? I betcha that would make it look even more like a proper banquet hall
Thx guys! gochillis personally gave me a great idea that instead of doing a dinner hall I should do a lecture hall, with books, dark writing panel, tons of study instruments. Maybe even a book shelf at the end of the hall corners.
I felt like taking some days off of this one, needed some rest.
But back on it here are the books, did some lerps to get instance materials color variation.
Since I didn't want too many drawcalls, I grouped some variations of books:
Hey man, this looks great. I'm just thinking though, maybe it seems kinda empty? You could try playing around and add some more clutter/books to help that out? Just a thought
edit: You could place stacks of books alongside the walls in the room, it might help by adding a good degree of "molding" as they say, along with making the place look a bit more used by people

Looks great man! Wicked colours and lighting. Killer texture work
I'll start on it on 2013... :P
