EZ all, I'm just trying to find a way to make center view (Z), work properly when in Orthographic mode. While it seems to usually work fine in perspective mode, it pretty much doesn't work at all (ever) in Orth. What happens is you'll click the model or a subobject to center on, then it APPEARS to do it, but when you start orbiting the camera, you find that it basically just picked some random place in the worldspace as its new center, because its not even centered on 0,0,0. This makes it really, REALLY long winded and fiddly to quickly move around your model making touches and checking everything is sound. Every time you orbit to a new angle, you have to readjust the translation & zoom because your models not even onscreen anymore HAHA (I laugh, but its really from loss of sanity!).
Is this a bug in 2011 or something, or is the center button different for Orthographic mode?
Thanks in advance!
