So lately I've been checking out a WebGL virtual world called Cloud Party Time. It's being created by some ex-Cryptic devs. It's still in beta and changing all the time, but it's got my attention enough to give it a whirl.
The build tools are particularly interesting. The camera controls feel very UDK and Maya like. (You can use WASD or alt-based camera controls). It supports DAE and OBJ upload. You can also upload meshes with custom skeletons and animations. There is also has a material system that supports normal maps, color masks, and spec gloss.
At the moment it's only accessible through a Facebook account before renaming yourself in settings. You can also sign in as a guest to look around but you don't get access to the any of the editor tools. Hopefully that changes in the future.
https://its.cloudpartytime.com/went/SjJzSSiqF is the link to my floating island, if anyone was interested in building there feel free to add me (Jesse Thompson) and I'll set you to have build permissions, though there are plenty of public areas to try stuff out.

1st Prize is a cool $1,000
They've added quite a few features since they were in beta last year, the least of which being alternative login methods. You also get free build areas/land when you verify your account. Would be cool to see some entries from polycounters.
Since it was webGL I did manage to get this working on my tablet/phone using the latest chrome beta. FPS suffers quite abit, getting there. Still hoping for emessive and local lighting in the future. Been told they are working on it but we'll see.
