I made this character for a
Digital Tutors tutorial
This work is based on the amazing concept of
Marco Teixeira
Originally this character is from a famous book here in Brazil called The Battle of Apocalypse.
He has 20k triangles and four UV maps. The weapon has 1700 triangles.
It was all rendered in realtime using Marmoset Toolbag
I hope you like it.

The only thing i would change in the texture would be the stubble, it would take on more of a greyish blue, unless it's a fair hair and not just stubble?
Some parts that shares the same technique were skipped because it would get repetitive and way too long.
But don't worry, every step of the production is in the tutorial.
Pretty nice work you got there, found it real interesting.
Just had a little bit of trouble to understand how come your specular was not all boosted. You used pretty bright specular and if I do the same it's way too bright on my characters
There could be many reasons for this. I'm not a marmoset expert but...
Do you use a gloss map? [Marmoset needs the gloss map to be in the specular alpha]
Did you custom control your lights?
There are actually lots of rendering options too.
And there are specular controls but that is just stating the obvious.
but I didn't know you could put the gloss map in the alpha for marmoset, pretty good to know, thanks!!
