Ran into another prob here...

Made a small corridor with a udk default static mesh and added a spotlight.

this is how it looks with the spotlight selected

when i deselect the spotlight,

I want to know why that shadow is not being shown in my editor..

Also after building the lighting, why does the shadow not become crisper instead it turns out like this...

    lightmap resolution or light volume size (I.E area light to create soft shadows)

    Dynamic don't show unless you use Toggleable Lights, since they're pretty resource hungry. It also helps in restart UDK after long hours of use, since a few time my lights borked.

    Also, as Shep said, change the Lightmap resolution for baked lights. IIRC, for BSP models, decrease the value, but for static mesh, increase the value.
