Thanks mate! Will do
And to the rest of yall. Thanks for the appreciation, we're excited to get these guys finished.
Daphz- just a little crit, your cloth folds still feel a little odd to me. I'm no pro at them myself, but things like the back of the belt are reading weird.
I'm going to figure out cryengine later on, maybe when ceebee finishes up sithil...
anyways here's some presentation stuff.
(big images incoming!)
ball's in your court curt!
the streams have kind of stopped, I moved recently and am still kind of settling into a routine. I want to stream some of my showdown entry though, so look out for that!
His arms are what, eight sided cylinders? You could've easily bumped that up to twelve sides and spent some polygons from your belt on defining the shapes of his arm muscles. It would've also been cool to see some polygonal definition of his facial features, like the nasolabial fold and his jowls.
One other thing I'd like to see is some value gradation. There's a bit of it on his pants, loin cloth, and that scarf thing, but I think you could push things further by baking some AO from the un-exploded low poly mesh. It'd help anchor things where the various pieces meet, like at the wrists, the shoulders, the exposed parts of his belly, and his head where the cap covers things up.
