after spending several hours staring at the same dude, my perspective skews a bit

and I'm terrible at anatomy

His anatomy looks odd, but I can't put my finger on exactly what looks odd

For some reason I dont feel like its his anatomy per se as its his stance right now he looks very rigid, the arm is really straight and i think is torso from the side is a little too barreled maybe try to look at that. its the only thing thats really standing out to me right now. Looks nice though overall.

It's a good start but the lack of references is really showing. You should really get some decent photo reference (just use a nude male etc, spiderman's pretty much painted nude right)

You'll notice your side profile is too flat and the head looking down doesn't seem very natural. The legs look a bit too thin, the crotch could come down, as could the arm pits. Basically just always get decent photo reference! It's definitely a good start and the texture's looking nice.

Just do this though: get reference, as much as you can and rotate your model every few seconds to every angle and say "does it look good from here? How about here?" etc. Keep pushing it and you'll get there:) It's not far off

one thing that might make his stance look weird is that his head is pointing down a bit. as is appropriate for a proper superhero, but its still not humanlike

his hands are a bit small but a nice texture..

but ur terrible at anatomy but use no reference for the character? go find some ref then~

as per your advice I got some references, and pretty much started over



and hid the bits that still look ugly
