Hi, I'm having a problem with the "link" tool.

I want to link the eyes and teeth to the head bone of a CAT rig. Before doing that, I reset xform and make sure to break all (if any) links. After that I link the eyes/teeth to the head bone but the objects moves forward.

And, if I try to undo that, nothing happens....

Any idea?

Ok, I fixed the problem. I think it's just a random bug of max.

After doing the linking and seeing the teeth and eyes move infront of the face, I unlinked them, and re-linked to the head bone again and voila! They moved back in place.

Typically you want to use Skin to bind meshes to bones instead of linking them. Even if its going to be skinned to a single bone. That way you can delete the skin modifier and the mesh goes back to the place and position that it originally held. Once you start animating the bones the pivot points of those objects shift around and its hard to get them back in their original position if you ever need it.
