Google's Nexus 7 Tablet

— The tablet will retail for $199 for the 8GB edition; $249 for the 16GB edition. According to the AP, the tablet will compete directly with Amazon's Kindle Fire. Google says it has a better than HD 7 inch, 1280x800 display and weights 340 grams. It will start shipping in July.

I have to say I'm a little more excited about the price tag and Jelly Beans Google Now feature more than I am about much of anything in Win8. I have a Kindle Fire as well as an iPad so my house is starting to get a little cluttered but at that price I could probably pick one up and give it a try.

I was just reading up on this now. It's £159 for the 8GB and £199 for the 16GB models for those in the UK You can pre-order them here: https://play.google.com/store/devices/details?id=nexus_7_16gb. Seems cool!

It does not look like it has a pen at all by default (and thus leads me to believe it does not support one like the Galaxy Note uses), other than the usually poor "fake finger" pens like the iPad has.

While these types of pens are usable, I personally find them very lacking for any sort of detailed use. Even handwriting on my ipad 2 using one of these pens is fairly irritating, as it sometimes doesn´t seem to register contact with the screen right away. Leading to missing parts of letters and such :P

No pen input. But, it sounds like a great deal for a tablet gaming system! Nvidia Tegra 3? For $200!?!! I mean the pixel density isn't great (216ppi), but its not bad either especially for a 7 inch screen. Not being limited like a Vita or Nintendo.. for a cheaper price??

What I really want to know. The wireless N. Is it 150 or full 5ghz 300? That really pissed me off about my Android Player when I found out its wireless N was only 2.4 ghz.
