Hey im going to make some oldschool assets in the same style that's in Medal of Honor Allied Assault. And im wondering if anyone knows or can guess what kind of resolution they used in the game both for textures like what they would have used for environment textures and what for guns, props and characters etc, and also what kind of polygon/triangle count they had for props, weapons and characters etc.
And if you know any other information that might be usefull for creating that kind of assets.

I would assume:
Characters: 512x512 or 1024x512
Hand and weapon: 512x512 or 1024x512
Props: Most around 512x512 or less
Tileable textures: variations of 128 to 256px
I would say all textures use photosource, and characters are a bit handpainted with overlayed textures. Not much secret about it.
Looking at the art of this game (which I've play tons), it's quite interesting looking at it again.
Environment textures are about 256x256 and down some 512x512.
Props textures, for big props 512x512 for smaller usually 256x256 and down.
Characters usually 256x256 or 256x512.
And weapons about 256x256.
