Description:
This person will be using 3DStudio Max for low-poly model creation, UVs, re-topology, rigging, animating, and exporting. They will be using Photoshop CS5 for model reference sheet creation and to create photo-sourced textures. ZBrush 4R2 is available for use to paint out texture seams, decimate hi-poly scans, and for re-topology as well.
Responsibilities:
The 3D Artist will work with a small team of developers to create efficient and highly-accurate models of real-world items to be used in a real-time simulation software package. Artists will photograph objects, and re-create the items in 3D. Textures are created by photo-sourcing, with minimal hand-painted touch-ups.
Requirements:
· Ability to create efficient Low-Poly Models
· Efficient UV Layout
· Re-topologizing Hi-Poly models
· Create high-quality Photo-sourced textures
· Rigging/Skinning
· Animating (Basic, Beginner level)
· Working knowledge of 3DStudio Max (or similar 3D software, but experience with Max is preferred)
· Experienced user of Photoshop (CS5)
· Eligible for Security Clearance
Bonuses:
· Experience in a real-time environment (3D simulations or games 2+ years)
· Experience with Unity 3D Game Engine
· Knowledge of advanced texture-creation process (Normal maps, Specular maps, etc)
· 3D graphics-related Degree (preferably game-art related)
