I'm excited. I'm curious to see how they implement DX11. Animation system looks great too!
Yep that is so true, i read Free and Basic mobile license won't port over for free.
So looks like i am staying with Unity 3.5 for the time being.
Just fixed the link now.
What i read over on the unity forums is as followed.
Scenario A:
- Bobby has 3.5 free.
- Bobby goes to pre-order 4.0 pro for $1500.
- Bobby now gets to use 3.5 pro.
* Unity 4.0 ships *
- Bobby can now use both 4.0 pro and 3.5 pro.
Scenario B:
- Donny has 3.5 pro.
- Donny goes to pre-order the 3.5 pro to 4.0 pro upgrade for $850.
- Donny still gets to use 3.5 pro.
* Unity 4.0 ships *
- Donny can now use both 4.0 pro and 3.5 pro.

Also i read if you wanna use your IOS basic and Android basic mobile paid or free license on Unity 4, you must pay a upgrade fee.
If you don't pay the basic mobile fee when you upgrade it just won't transfer over.
Also read the basic free mobile everyone got a few months ago will still be good on
Unity 3 versions.
That free Unity mobile basic a few months ago was a lure in trick i think,lol
But if you're upgrading, it's almost as if you shouldn't be even touching it, no customer loyalties reward, upgrade requirements at full price are a must, etc.
Is there a reason for that? It seems really harsh and draconian in many ways.

is this how they justify the crazy prices? the fact you can use both 3.5 and 4? why would anyone want to use both 3.5 and 4? they would get all sorts of compatibility problems if they even share a project so I dont get how its useful to have both unless 4 turns out so buggy you need to go back to 3.5 .
Looking forward though
