Anyone know of a good source for instruction, in book form or video form or website that really teaches good technique for cross hatch sketching with various leads. After seeing some really inspiring pieces recently, I've been doing more of it lately when I just sketch, but I'm looking to develop it more. Any info or links would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Just drop a pm if interested.
Try getting all your hatch strokes to follow the implied contour of the shape - It'll do miracles for the three-dimensionality. I'll dig through some drawings and see if i can find an example...
*edit* bingo. went through some of my old sketchbook scans.
Methinks it would be a fun tutorial to make though...
Er I hope he doesn't mind me adding these here! lol, I suppose I am advertising his work for free so he can't be too upset! haha got it from this article anyway - http://darkdesigngraphics.co.uk/inspiration/drawing-durham-cathedral-inspiration-closer-to-home/
