Game Design Lab Technician - Junior Level network administration for Windows and MAC network environment. Software and hardware installation, troubleshooting and upgrade.
- Assist students with any software/hardware issues that may arise.
- Work in coordination with the front desk to ensure the smooth workflow.
- Provide support and assistance to the Department Director.
- Maintain guidelines set forth by the Academy of Art University.
- Maintain a clean, functional and productive learning environment.
- Protect equipment from theft or vandalism.
Requirements:
- Ideal candidate will be articulate, attentive.
- Previous customer service experience a plus.
- Must be proficient with Adobe CS4, Autodesk Maya, Unity3D or Unreal game engines.
- Knowledge of the Window and MAC operating system.
- 3D Modeling and/or scripting for Unity3D experience/interest a must.
- Experience with video editing is a plus.
Shift hours: 4:30pm 1:30am Must be flexible and willing to work evening and/or weekend shifts.This is a part-time position, up to 40 hours/week and 37 weeks/yr. Work is available only when school is in session: 15 weeks in the fall semester, 15 weeks in the spring semester, and 7 weeks in the summer semester.
Pay rate: $15/hour
