This is the first time I've gone through the pipeline of creating a character from start to texturing so some feedback would be cool! Tips and such

Dont mind the loin cloth thing. The UV Map is fucked and I didn't realise till I pulled it into maya
Not going to fix it atm.

    That's some dense geometry for his chest, is the retopo a highpoly as well or?

    Yeah the character was created as a modelling class assignment based around preparing a mesh for animation, not for games xP

    Even so, would you say the chest is still too dense?

    For the amount of detial that it gives it shouldnt be that dense you could just paint in the forms of the chest and it would basically look the same

    If it's not going to be realtime, then your density is fine, but you might want to take another look at your poly flow and distribution around the joints if you're going to animate this guy.

    Skinniest panda I've ever seen :P Are we shooting for a model solely for animation or should it look nice too? If so, I would work on a more believable fur texture and getting it across the entire body. The pocket needs work too, you could put a button flap over it and forget the interior, or just model the interior. Also I think it would look good if the feet resembled that of a panda. I mean look at this, it's a masterpiece. :D

    The pants could use some wrinkles and the bulge above the ankle ties should sag a bit. Trying to be helpful without sounding like a jerk is hard. I mean well. :)

    Also greetings from LBPC :D

    Hey guys thanks for the feedback! It's very nice to be able to have critique like this :)

    @TehSplatt
    Yeah you're right about that I see now. I guess I fell prone to making it denser than it should be after using a human mesh as reference when I re-topologised.

    @Jackablade
    Which areas do you think need work? I tried to make it deform friendly, but I could do with some pointers!

    @FullSync
    It's actually a red panda, which is quite different to a panda!

    Though I do agree that the feet of my character are very poor. I will have a look at ways to redo them :)
    Oh true true! Don't worry man I appreciate all feedback ^^

    And wow! You're from LBPC? I was literally just there after like.. a year xD! I don't believe I've met you though!

    Thanks all!
