I did a rock sculpt today (my first!). This is part of my new ideas for the Dungeon Corridor environment.
Mudbox 2012, Blender (retopo/baking), Photoshop,Marmoset Toolbag
(spec map isn't going to be 1024, it's going to be 512..)
All are really good, I should have found you on here sooner (I have a terrible attention span haha).
Thank you so much Gemma! And sorry my slow reply on this, I haven't been on polycount for a while now. So much stuff going on!
But look, here's some new stuff:
Some more progress.. Next week im not going to post anything cos im going to be in Polish mountains.
But after that, polypainting and retopology! Can't wait!
The bell is really cool I like it. I'm making some armour and trying to go for a similar look but having a hard time finding reference, is there anything I can search in particular to find more images like this? Or anything that inspired you? I'd really appreciate it!

I used the skull pictures from CGTextures.com. I don't have any real reference/inspirational photos for this, i just go with the vision i have in my head. Not the best solution everytime but it works now :P
edit: i guess you could find something similar from Darksiders artwork.
Those veins on the skulls i did by doing the big ones just with standard brush and smaller details with alphas from Zbrush's site.
bell looks awesome, how did you make it ?
Thanks!
In a nutshell:
I imported basic shape of the bell to zbrush.
Smoothed everything with TrimDynamic.
I did alpha masks from the skull photos from CGTexrures and layed them out in the bell.
I started carve out more shapes, deepened the eye sockets and noses, raised eyebrow area etc..
I did the veins like i said above
More details with alphas
The texts i did with alpha mask too, i just took nice free font from web..
Every other piece in there is basicly just basic shape from modeling software and some trim dynamic and alpha masked brushing
Okay so here's where i'm at with the deathbell now.
Still i need to do the rope for the bell and i thought about making plant of ground for it too.. yeah, and an arrow! (dont ask)
More coming..
It's not bad, I'd say just her face turned out a bit too wide, kind of like a flattened out fisheye perspective.
Thanks. I hope it's just because of the cropping and not having as much hair as in reference picture.
There was some foreshortening to be done too. Here's the ref:

This one is with the proper diffuse texture.
The reddish tint render is just with Ambient Occlusion map as diffuse texture (just testing..)..
Also tried polypainting for the first time.

This is Jane Fonda in Barbarella.
Some levels/blurring/color in PS.

About 1.5h / painting. Tried different styles and stuff.
