Hi!
Started working on an environment by
Mark Yang a few days ago, and I thought I'd show you my progress so far.
Got most of the tiles modeled and I've started texturing to try different things out.
I'll go back to finish this piece up once the other pieces have been baked.
Here's what I have so far:
It's a lot more worn down than in the concept, and I'll most likely make it look more like the concept later on depending on how it looks once I get it in-engine.
Right now it's only a diffuse with a very, VERY basic specular.
The door was baked and then nDo'ed to add more details.
I'm gonna go crazy with textures this time.
Hope you like it!
Cheers!

@Alex Pointer: It's rendered in realtime Marmoset right now, but I will take it into UDK or Cryengine once I have more of the tiles and props done.
Don't know how closely you want to follow the concept but I would say it has a more chunky and smoother feel that what you've currently got. I think what you got is great, but is more sharp and detailed, which doesn't give it the same feel as the concept.
Following this thread!
Same thing here, just a diffuse with no spec or gloss work.
Next will prolly be some of the walls so that I can start getting the scene together!
Hope you like it!
Cheers!
I spotted the concept on CGHub last week and it's a great one to work from. Looking forward to updates.
@Alex Pointer: No, I haven't made any changes to the concept. I just felt like trying to add more detail and go from there. If it turns out too busy I'll reduce the detail amount.
Here's a quick update:
Hope you like it! Cheers!
Very early texture, and very rough specular and gloss, but at least it's baked and ready for to be taken into the engine.
Hope you like it!
What are you hosting your images at? I can never get mine to come out so nice. They always get blurred, or look low quality, or resized.
The more saturated colors here and there, really bring it to life, it's always the little things.
Not sure if you've seen this, but this should be useful:
@tehrobster2: Cheers! I thought I'd post them once the scene is done. Which will hopefully be in a week or two :P
@Spitfire: Thanks! Oh yeah, I'll definitely try that!
@Donavonyoung: Thank you! I'm glad you like it so far!
@[HP]: Thank you very much for posting that image! It really helps!
Pulled the assets into UDK and set up a basic material to see how it all looked in engine.
Haven't tweaked the lighting or materials yet, but yeah.
Cheers!
