Strumpy Shader Editor Tutorial?

Each tutorial I find for this thing assumes you know quite a bit about it which is a bit ironic considering he designed the editor to be very user friendly.

I was just trying to make a simple Shader with One Diffuse, Normal and Specular map assigned to it. But no matter what I do it only shows the diffuse texture and with the amount of time it took me to fail I could have had this done with the default Materials in Unity.

The Documentation skips quite a bit of steps and I'm still lost here but the default Unity Materials are pure ugly when compared to other game engines so I was hoping if someone could help me out here? Anybody know of a good English tutorial for this editor?
