Nothing quite like Park Chan-Wook's Vengeance trilogy to lower your opinion of humanity.
Maya's normal map baking tool is a bit finicky and terribly slow. You can get ok maps out of it, but you'd probably be quicker to pump them through XNormal.
I feel like the edges on your high poly are way to sharp, if you look at high poly models created by other people here on polycount you'll notice the edges are often rather soften and sometimes pretty plastic looking. As far as I know this is done for the baking process, to improve the readability. And I remember (think it was Racer?) seeing an image of a red dot sight showing how it improves anti-aliasing, if your model is to sharp it'll give more aliasing from a distance.
I also think you might wanna redo the silver detailing on the handle, it's a bit blobby at the moment.
