Optimus Prime Creaturebox style?

Hey gang ! Just did a quick model trying to get back my motivation for 3d work, I hope to take this all the way and finish with texturing. C&C are always welcome, my reference is from Creaturebox take on Optimus Prime.

Well I will be doing hand painted textures.... rather attempting to.

Swizzle

It's looking good, but you're missing the long, subtle curves throughout the design. If you look closely, you'll notice that there aren't actually any straight lines. Everything has a slight curve and some tweaked angles, and I think that's something that would really help sell the design of the model.

Hey Swizzle I feel honored to have yo reply here, but ya I was going to rig and utilize the FFD modifiers to add the curves to the model depending on what pose he would be in.

yea think you should add small curve in there right now like swizzle said.. keep you idea for the poses just use it to emphasise the curves... should look real nice textured tho keep it up!

I think you need to work more on your proportions to get a more appealing result. The concept is a little tricky to read given the pose and how very stylised the design is, but making the "rib cage" part of the torso considerably larger and the "belly part longer should get you closer to what's shown in the concept and a design that works better all round.

Working on the rig, haven't rigged in 3ds Max for a few years, so it is going a bit slower then expected. Updates later !

So working on the test rig, a few errors on his left side ( our right ) working on the finger rigs now, and will add custom controllers and will be adding window wipers on the chest later. Moving on to texturing now. C&C are always welcome thanks !
