My crap concept below. I think I will just try to come up with some ideas in 3d, for the handle.

This is based on some old Darksider concept I found online. I hope it is ok to use old concept and stuff. :S

Ok... the concept and the model were ok, but you really surprised me with that sculpt in best positive way. I really love the handle design. Not much to crit about, shapes are visible from distance, you didn't overdo scratches, good balanced design.
Really looking forward to seeing some textures on lowpoly!!!

Konras: Haha yeah, I am certainly not a concept artist.

I did up the LP model and baked normal, AO, and have the texture just started. Bit of clean up stuff to do yet and deciding colors...

Wow! Yeah, this came out of nowhere. There's excellent depth to.the whole thing, and you seem to have got an excellent low poly/ bake out of it. Only crit would be that the blade isn't looking very metal atm. Maybe some striations would help?

I have an update on the texture. Not sure if it fits the Darksider style or not. I was thinking about changing the angel/robe deal and the grip areas to a sort of blueish color. Any input would be awesome.

Nice job with the latest update. I think it needs more colors. Looking at the angelic stuff, which I'm guessing what you are going for, it's too monochromatic. Maybe add more lighter colored pieces.

Still not quite sure about colors. From the renders of the models provided. there really isn't to much color variation. Seems to be a sort of tanish color, white, brown, gold, and red for gems and the like.

Anyway here is an update....

This is great! The color scheme is definitely Angelic although I think you can push the whites a bit more.

Yeah a little more white will make it stand out more.

Thanks for the input. I pumped up the whites a bit more, did some other minor color adjustments on parts, and polished up the gems.

Is it white enough yet?

EDIT: By the way, poly count is 1526, in case anybody cares haha.

I decided to follow all the cool kids and upload to meshbin so you can twirl it around.

Also not sure if we are able to submit colored spec maps. I used it anyway, for now, because I like it. <_<

Thanks. I like texturing, and this was a lot of fun.:)

I have a couple renders. First is a simple render with a skylight, no shadows or anything fancy. Meant to show the color changes and other minor fixes I made. I tried to get it closer to the colors in the examples provided.

And the second is the fancy arse presentation render with my attempt at some more dramatic lighting and making things look pretty.

And following that are the flats.

So this is about final, unless anybody has any critiques they would like to share.
