Hello all, I think having a sketchbook that I can keep updated and follow the progress of my artistic growth is a famous idea.

@AimBiz I agree it is a bit long, her right knee is a bit big too.
Not feeling so well this morning, but hey nothing like a little art to lift the spirits. I have been seeing quite a few badass mechs around lately and wanted to try my hand at it. This isn't my first but it has to be like my 3rd or 4th attempt at it. When I completed it I named it 2D9 because it felt to District 9 and I really want to create my own style of mechs, so back to the drawing board...well after I get a bit more rest. Have a great and creative day all!
Very nice and balanced rendering of that cyborg sniper, not too tight and not too loose. The way you handled the rim light from the sun really adds to the photo-realism of the piece.

This is a sketch I did tonight.
SCORPION Z-0: This is a small briefcase sized mech that you can attach a variety of SMGs to. It''s primarily used as a sentry turret, but could help you get the upper hand if you find yourself being swarmed by a ravaging horde of Zombies.

I wonder though where its computer/brain is located. Suppose since it's a futuristic design the hardware required could be pretty compact but it looks like most available space of the frame is taken up by articulation-stuff. Would it be in the grey box at the center perhaps?
So yeah, go for it I say. Be careful though to not have it accidentally becoming an excuse in case the way things go together would be confusing for the viewer. It could turn into a "it's done by magic" justification. What I'm trying to get at, some visuals hinting on the power system might be a good idea, like where the receivers are placed. Not sure how to incorporate that into the design but I'm thinking out loud. Hope you don't mind.
Didn't notice the box at the "head" at first but it could serve a good spot for the core. Maybe have the antenna looking more like a classic antenna (dark, cylindrical) to have the purpose read more clearly.
